Arsenal are believed to be stepping up the chase to sign Ipswich Town left back Tyrone Mings according to the Mirror.
Mings joined Ipswich 2-years-ago from non-league side Chippenham for a fee in the region of £10,000; a pittance in today’s world of football. Arsenal are ready to shell out £10m for the highly rated left-back as they look to bolster their defensive options.
In August, Crystal Palace came in for Mings, but all bids were rejected and since then the full-back has penned a new deal at Portman Road. However, despite the new deal, Arsenal remain keen to sign Mings.
Mick McCarthy, Ipswich Town boss said, “When we sold Aaron Cresswell to West Ham in the summer he was the best left back in the Championship. Cressy is now being touted for England honours and it will be good competition between him and Tyrone.”
Could Turone Mings be a future England star and will he still be at Portman Road by the end of this season?
