Chelsea are considering whether to use Andre Schurrle as bait to bring in fellow German, Marco Reus. Schurrle, despite having an excellent World Cup has failed to stamp a spot in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has identified, Marco Reus as a player who would add quality to the Blues midfield and is prepared to use Schurrle in a swap deal.
The Express are suggesting that Chelsea are the front-runners to snap up the 25-year-old Dortmund play-maker. Liverpool, Arsenal and United are all rumoured to be interested in the midfielder, but Chelsea look to be the favourites. Labelled with a £25m buy out clause, could Chelsea reduce the deficit with the addition of Schurrle to the deal?
Schurrle may be willing to leave Stamford Bridge to return to his home nation with the promise of first time football in place of Reus, should the deal go ahead. A transfer that would whet the appetite of Premier League fans and neutrals alike, Reus would be a perfect addition to England.
Will Chelsea get their man?
