The red hot news of Thursday morning is that Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee with Chelsea hero, Petr Cech according to the Daily Star.
Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle with their Premier League rivals for the 32-year-old. Cech has had to make way for young prodigy, Thibaut Courtois who has taken over the number one jersey from Cech. The Belgian keeper impressed whilst on loan at Atletico Madrid and is now regarded as the first choice keeper at Stamford Bridge. Cech, who has made in excess of 300 appearances for Chelsea is now looking for a way out of the club and it appears Arsenal have come calling.
It is believed Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger is going to chell out £7m to bring Cech in to the Emirates and take over between the sticks from current keeper, Wojciech Szczesny. The deal leaves Szczesny’s future at the club in doubt with the Cech deal in the pipeline.
Cech, in desperate need of first team football has already suggested he may have to leave the Blues if he wants to continue playing, could he really be off to local rivals Arsenal?
