Roberto Martinez is ready to call upon Shaun Maloney and form a reunion between the pair. Martinez signed Maloney for Wigan in 2011 after joining from Celtic and now the Spanish manager is ready to call upon the scot once again.
Maloney, 31, still plies his trade with Wigan in the Championship but his contract is up in the summer. Martinez is a big fan of the exciting play-maker and is ready to bring him to Goodison according to reports from the Daily Mail.
With Wigan in the light about the interest surrounding Maloney, they may wish to sell the Scot now than see him depart the club for free. A figure of £500k will be brandished on the Scot as Wigan will look to recoup some sort of fee for the midfielder.
Martinez’s relationship with the player may be enough to seal the deal, but there is said interest from the MLS and other Premier League clubs for Maloney. Who will he choose?
