Manchester United – Young French left-back hunted

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is thought to be hunting young French left-back Layvin Kurzawa. TalkSport understand that Kurzawa would love to join Manchester United if the club can agree a deal.

22-year-old Layvin Kurzawa is well known to those who play FIFA or Football Manager as one of the players with the highest potentials on the game. He has recently broke through into the French national first team, making his debut on 14 November, receiving his first start 4 days later.

Kurzawa joined AS Monaco in 2007 as a teenager and progressed through the club’s academy before making his full debut in 2010. The 5ft 11in defender has since gone on to play 53 league games for the club, even despite the heavy investment from Monaco’s owners. The attacking left-back is being tracked by a number of sides across Europe giving Monaco the upper hand with negotiations.

Reports in France say Louis Van Gaal will seek to bring Kurzawa to Old Trafford in January and the youngster told BeIn Sports: “The club of my dreams? Manchester United. It is one of my goals to play there one day.” With Luke Shaw a summer signing that cost over £30m will the Red Devils board really sanction another big Manchester United deal?
