Southampton boss Ronald Koeman may look to fellow Premier League side, Burnley in January to pinch in form striker, Danny Ings.
Ings was at Southampton as a youngster but was released from their academy which has produced players such as Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Gareth Bale.
Currently Burnley’s most prized asset, it would take a fair transfer fee if Sean Dyche’s side were to even think about listening to an offer, according to the Mirror. However, Ings, 22, might be swayed by the fact Burnley are struggling to escape out of the relegation zone whilst Southampton are lapping up the plaudits in 3rd spot.
England U21 international, Ings has bagged 4 goals in his last 5 games and it appears Koeman is a big fan of the young striker. With Jay Rodriguez still yet to come back from his injury and with Spurs said to be interested in him, it could open up a vacancy for Ings to fit in the side.
Should Ings make the move to St Mary’s in January?
