Last week we linked AS Monaco’s highly sought after left-back Layvin Kurzawa with Manchester United. Now reports in France understand that Manchester City are also in the hunt for the youngster, with the player’s representatives in talks with the Citizens.
We noted how the young French defender, who is well known to players of the FIFA and Football Manager video games, had said he wanted to join Manchester United at some point in his career. Respected French publication L’Equipe though understand that Kurzawa’s representatives were in Manchester as City took on Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Layvin Kurzawa is just 22-years-old and spent a number of years in the AS Monaco academy before making his debut for the club in September 2010. Kurzawa has since played 53 league fixtures for AS Monaco and has outlasted the heavy investment of the club’s owners, making him one of the biggest talents in European football.
Kurzawa made 2 appearances for the full French national team, establishing himself on the world stage even more. However it is thought that the 5ft 11in left-sided defender will cost either Manchester club a hefty chunk of cash because he has plenty of time remaining on his Monaco contract.
Manchester United or Manchester City, where do you think Layvin Kurzawa will end up?
