Newcastle United and Leicester City are reportedly in a fight to sign young Argentinean striker Luciano Vietto. According to TalkSport the Premier League clubs will have to beat Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan to his signature if they want to secure him in January.

Luciano Vietto joined the Racing Club youth academy and graduated into the first team in October 2011. He scored 18 goals in 69 league matches for the club and was then bought by Villarreal in August 2014. Vietto has since scored 8 goals in 18 games in all competitions and despite only recently going Villarreal, speculation continues that he could be leaving the side.

At only 20-years-old the Argentinean is one of the hottest striking prospects in world football and has a number of teams wishing to complete a deal for him either in January or next summer. The star has represented Argentina Under-20s on 4 occasions, scoring twice and is set for a race to fame.

Will Newcastle United or Leicester be able to bring him to the Premier League? Will Inter Milan bring him to Italy? Is this all meaningless speculation and he’ll stay at Villarreal?
