Manchester United star, Juan Mata could be a potential signing for La Liga side, Sevilla according to the Mirror.
The Spanish club are monitoring the situation regarding Mata, who has been in and out of Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United side. Mata joined United last January but has struggled to settle since the arrival of Van Gaal.
The former Valencia starlet has forced his way into the reckoning and proved his worth, with a goal against Stoke City in midweek. However, his future remains in the balance at Old Trafford.
Sevilla are rumoured to be looking at the star with the view to making a move in January for the former Chelsea midfielder. With United closely looking at Roma midfielder, Kevin Strootman, United may offload Mata in order to raise funds to sign their number one target.
Mata, 26, is a class act, there is no doubting that, but it seems Van Gaal thinks he has too many “number 10’s” in his squad. Hence the departures of Kagawa, Nani, Welbeck and could Mata now follow the trend?
