Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed he tried to sign Spurs starlet, Harry Kane on loan this season.
Kane, 21, has bagged 11 goals this season but has found his appearances have predominately come in Europa Cup matches. However, Kane has impressed boss Pochettino and has earned his starting role in the Premier League in recent weeks.
Warnock spoke to BBC Sport and openly admitted he tried to sign the former, Norwich City loanee.
“I tried to get him a few times when I came here,” Warnock said.
“He is a good lad and you know what you are going to get with him. He is an exciting player. At the time, he was not involved and we felt there was a chance of getting him on loan. But unfortunately they were in that horrible cup on a Thursday night.”
Kane has been a sensation for Spurs since bursting onto the scene. He’s given a new sense of belief to Tottenham fans and I think I speak on behalf of Spurs fans when I say, I don’t think they will let him leave on loan!
