Leyton Orient boss, Mauro Milanese has left his job as Leyton Orient manager after only eight matches according to BBC Sport.

After Russell Slade left the club to manage, Championship outift, Cardiff City,  Kevin Nugent had a spell in temporary charge before Milanese was handed the manager’s role in October.

However, the O’s won only one of their five league games under him.

They are only above the League One relegation zone on goal difference and Saturday’s Johnstone Paint Trophy defeat to Gillingham seems to have been the killer blow for the former Inter Milan player, Milanese.

The 43-year-old Italian will now be looking for a new managerial venture, leaving the O’s in a spot of bother in League One.
