Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero is set be out for up to 4 weeks after picking up a knee injury against Everton last weekend. The in-form striker has damaged knee ligaments after a challenge from Everton midfielder, Muhamed Besic.
Aguero departed the field in tears after just 3 minutes. The 26-year-old is the top scorer in the Premier League with 14 goals already, a huge loss during the busy Christmas period for the Citizens.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, City boss, Manuel Pellegrini said, “Sergio has a problem in his knee ligament. We will see how serious it is after he has had a scan.
“It is not good news and I don’t think he will be able to play next week. He will not be with us for Roma, which is an important game.
“He was more calm when I saw him after seeing the doctor but, generally, we are not sure how he is.”
Aguero will be a huge to loss to City who look a far worse team without the Argentine. Will the champions struggle without their star striker?
