Premier League duo, Everton and Crystal Palace are rumoured to be interested in England and Norwich City goalkeeper, John Ruddy.
Ruddy, 28, has been a key figure in the Canaries success of late and helped guide them to the Premier League where they stayed for 3 years, however, last seasons relegation opened up speculation suggesting Ruddy would leave Carrow Road. Ruddy has however quashed such rumours and has remained between the sticks for the Norfolk club.
With January looming and transfer talk getting hot again, Ruddy is once again in the limelight and a potential move to former club Everton as well as Crystal Palace could be on the cards for the England shot-stopper.
According to the Mirror, Palace boss Neil Warnock wants an experienced keeper to compete for the No 1 spot with Julian Speroni, who is out of contract at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Everton are looking for a long-term replacement for Tim Howard who is now pushing into his 30’s.
Ruddy has two and a half years left on his contract, so Norwich are unlikely to let him go for less than £4m. With Declan Rudd next in line to take the number one jersey, City would have a young capable keeper on their hands should Ruddy depart, but a move in January might prove unrealistic for Norwich.
If, however, City failed to secure promotion this season, a move to the Premier League could open up again for the former Everton man.
