21-year-old Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is one of the hottest prospects in world football. The French midfielder has clubs drooling over his signature and according to the Daily Express, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all are ready to do battle.
Paul Pogba had a number of clubs as a youngster but joined Manchester United in 2009 to complete his youth career. He graduated the youth system but spent a long time in the Red Devils’ reserve team, only appearing in 3 Premier League matches for the side. Pogba lost patience with then manager Sir Alex Ferguson and asked to leave, joining Italian giants Juventus in August 2012.
At Juventus, Pogba’s career has flourished, becoming a vital figure in their previous two title winnings seasons. The Frenchman currently has 75 Serie A appearances to his name, 108 Juventus matches in all competitions with 18 goals. Now the 22 capped French international will have some decisions to make when it comes to leaving Turin should an acceptable bid be made.
A few days ago we reported how Manchester City were leading the race for Pogba as they seek a long-term Yaya Toure replacement. The Express though think Arsene Wenger, who has admired Pogba for a number of years, will enter the race for the midfielder whom would be a major coup for the Gunners. Of course Chelsea will be involved as will mega spending Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United meaning Juventus may get much more than the original £40m they were apparently demanding.
