Manchester United’s season has got back on track in recent weeks with Louis Van Gaal’s men finding form at looking far more like Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United. Now the Daily Star think they may be lucky in January and also get their long term target Juan Cuadrado.

Juan Cuadrado currently plays for Fiorentina in Italy but is reportedly very unhappy in Serie A and is attempting to force a January transfer switch to the Premier League with Manchester United. The Red Devils battled with Barcelona for the Colombian’s signature in the summer transfer window after Cuadrado impressed at the World Cup in Brazil but failed to meet Fiorentina’s price tag.

Cuadrado began his career with Independiente Medellin in his native Colombia, earning his European opportunity in July 2009 with Udinese of the Serie A. He appeared 20 times for Udinese with a loan spell at Leece before Fiorentina purchased the winger in July 2012. Since his move to Viola, Cuadrado has played 80 Serie A games for the club but now is ready to leave.

The 37 time capped Colombian is 26-years-old and can also play at wing back, something that is attractive to Manchester United boss Van Gaal. Should he hand in a transfer request then the Red Devils will be set to pounce and bit some of Europe’s biggest club’s to the signing.

Manchester United fans, do you want Juan Cuadrado?
