Leicester City boss, Nigel Pearson has accepted his charge by the FA according to breaking news reports from the BBC this morning.
Pearson was charge by the Football Association after an incident with a fan during his side’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on December 2nd.
A statement by the FA said that Pearson, 51, was alleged to have “used abusive and/or insulting words towards a spectator”. Pearson has also come under attack from the chairman of a Leicester City supporters group after he refused to apologise, calling him “arrogant”.
Pearson has requested a personal hearing and the date of the hearing will be decided by the FA in “due course”. The Leicester boss sees his side at the foot of the Premier League table, with pressure already on his shoulders, will this altercation help his position?
