Everton striker, Steven Naismith has penned a new three year contract with the Toffees according to BBC Sport.
The 28-year-old, Scottish international joined Everton on a free transfer back in 2012 from Rangers. Naismith struggled to settle into life in the Premier League but has since been a revelation for Roberto Martinez’s side.
With 6 goals to his name already this season, Naismith revealed his delight at signing a new deal with Everton.
“I am so happy here,” Naismith told the club’s television channel.
“From the moment I signed my first contract here it wasn’t long before I saw what a great club it was.
“I would say this is probably the best form of my career. I’m delighted to have agreed an extension which will keep me here for a few more years yet.”
Toffees fans will be delighted to have secured Naismith until 2019, a player who has come into his own in recent months.
