Manchester City are on high alert after Newcastle United’s highly sought after winger Rolando Aarons turned down a new contract. According to The Sun Pellegrini wants to swoop for the youngster whose contract expires at the end of next season in 2016.
Rolando Aarons was born in Jamaica and moved to Bristol as a boy. Aarons was signed by the Bristol City youth academy and spent a few seasons with the club before being released in 2012. Newcastle United snapped up the winger and he has continued to develop up north, featuring in reserve matches on a regular occasion.
Aarons signed a professional contract with Newcastle in April 2014 that tied him to the Magpies till 2016. After a strong showing in pre-season with the first team, he was given the number 16 shirt. Aarons made his debut in the first game of the 2014/15 season, coming off the bench against Manchester City.
Now with 3 Premier League showings to his name, Newcastle looked to secure him to a longer, more lucrative contract but talks have broken down. Manchester City want Aarons who is only 19-years-old and has played once for the England Under-20s, scoring on his debut.
Manchester City fans, what do you know about starlet Rolando Aarons? Newcastle fans, are you desperate to hold onto him?
