On loan Chelsea starlet, Ryan Bertrand has suggested he is keen to make his loan move to Southampton permanent, according to reports from Setanta.

The left back is enjoying life with the Saints and has become a regular first team players under Ronald Koeman, “I’m very happy here, playing week-in, week-out first and foremost. Playing the way we play, with these players, this manager and this coaching staff is getting the best out of me.” he said.

When asked if he can see himself playing at St Mary’s on a permanent basis, Bertrand replied: “Yeah definitely. I’m enjoying my football here so we will see what the future holds.”

Bertrand has been left frustrated at Chelsea, with Ashley Cole irreplaceable in his prime, Bertrand has been unlucky not to have a bite at the cherry for Chelsea. However, after a number of loan moves away from Stamford Bridge, has Bertrand finally found his ideal club in Southampton?

A player of real potential and quality, could a permanent move to Southampton increase the chances of an England call up?
