Norwich City boss Neil Adams has resigned from his post in charge of the Canaries. BBC Sport broke the news around 2pm after whispers had suggested Adams’ future was in the balance.

City lost out to League One side Preston in their F.A. Cup Third Round clash at the weekend and City currently lie 7th in the Championship.

New first team coach Mike Phelan is said to be the favourite to get the position full time, but only time will tell. With top of the league Bournemouth at the weekend, it could prove to be a very bad start to the new year for the Norfolk outfit.
