It’s not often Leicester City can do battle with Chelsea over a player and win his signature. However according to Sky Sports, that is exactly what is set to happen with young Croatian Andrej Kramaric ready to sign for The Foxes.
Andrej Kramaric is 23-years-old and began his professional career at Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb, the city where he was born. Kramaric graduated their youth system and made 42 first team appearances in the league, scoring 10 times and winning 2 Prva HNL titles.
Kramaric moved on from Dinamo Zagreb with a 45 league games loan spell with Lokomotiva where the forward found goals, 20 of them in all. Then in August 2013 after Kramaric fell out with parent club Dinamo Zagreb, Rijeka snapped him up and he has flourished with an impressive 37 league strikes in just 42 showings.
Both Chelsea and Leicester City were after the forward’s services who has represented Croatia on 4 occasions. Leicester City certainly are in need of a goalscoring hero as they sit bottom of the Premier League. It seems Nigel Pearson has been able to convince Kramaric of his importance to the Foxes where the forward would be under-used and benched at Chelsea.
Can Kramaric find goals in England and turn Leicester’s campaign around?
