Championship outfit, Cardiff City have snapped up 23-year-old defender, Scott Malone from Millwall Sky Sports has revealed.
The former England U19 international has penned a contract with the Bluebirds which runs until June 2017. Malone started his career with Wolves before moving on to Bournemouth after loan spells at Southend and Burton.
He then joined Millwall from the Cherries in May 2012 and has since made 71 appearances for the Lions in which he has scored five goals.
His impressive performances have caught the eye of manager, Russell Slade and the Welsh outfit have sewn up the deal early on.
Malone said joining Cardiff was an easy decision: “With my contract soon to expire at Millwall, I was looking for a new challenge; a few clubs were interested, but when I heard Cardiff City was one of them it was an easy decision to make.
“The manager didn’t need to persuade me at all into making this decision, I wanted to come and be part of his plans. I’m very happy to be here and eager to get started.”
The Bluebirds will now look forward to seeing their latest signing in action.
