Liverpool – Suso and Lambert to move on in January

Liverpool fans are desperate for their club to strengthen in the January transfer window. However at the moment it seems outgoings are on the cards as TalkSport link Suso to AC Milan and The Guardian see Rickie Lambert as a target for Crystal Palace.

Suso is a 21-year-old starlet who many Liverpool fans had very high hopes for. The young Spaniard signed for Liverpool in 2010 from the Cadiz academy. Suso continued his developed with the Liverpool youth teams and has shone in the reserves but has not been given a chance in the first team at Anfield. Last season Suso joined Almeria on loan in Spain but now it seems Liverpool are willing to move him on with the player’s agent confirming AC Milan are ready to sign him on a 4-year deal.

Rickie Lambert meanwhile only joined Liverpool in the summer from Southampton along with teammates Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren. The 32-year-old is a Reds fan and played his way through the lower leagues before establishing himself as a Premier League talent with Southampton over the past few seasons. He moved to Anfield for £4.5m in the summer but only has 10 starts to his name and has netted just once in 16 Premier League matches for Liverpool. New Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is tempted by Lambert who would add to his strike force either on loan or permanent depending on his availability.

This news will come as a disappointment to Liverpool fans who perhaps wanted both players to get a chance on Merseyside. Manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed it would take someone special to force the club to part with more cash this January. One forward who could sign is Divock Origi who signed in the summer but was loaned to Lille for the 2014/14 campaign, he will cost around £3m for an early release.

Liverpool fans, who do you want to sign this winter? Do you want anyone else to leave?

Lets sell Lovren, Lambert, Borini, Balotelli, Mignolet and Allen. Problem is that nobody will want to buy them! We desperately need some quality for the first team!

Now that we know Gerrard is moving, we need a new Defensive Midfielder. Someone with a presence about them. We can’t play someone like Emre Can, Lucas or Aleen because they’re all useless. I would love to see Blaise Matuidi, class player and would fill that slot that Gerrard is leaving. We also need a new keeper, but we will have to buy one before we sell one, in case we sell Mignolet and there’s no time left to sign anyone else so we have to play Brad Jones. Varane is another player who would strengthen our squad and would connect with Matuidi.
