Both Liverpool and Arsenal are on high alert after Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette announced he desires a move abroad. The Daily Express have reported that it would take £15m to prize him away from the Ligue 1 side.

Lacazette is just 23-years-old and has been at Lyon since 2003 when he joined their youth academy. After 7 years honing his development he was given his first team opportunity in May 2010 when he made his league debut. The young forward has found goals easy to come by as he netted 15 goals in 36 league games last season and 17 in 19 so far this campaign. With a record of 58 goals in 171 matches in all competitions, could a Premier League move be on the cards for Lacazette?

Lacazette told the press: “Between England and Spain, I don’t have a preference”. He had been linked to a PSG switch too but seemed to dismiss the idea in the near future: “To play with (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic and Lucas (Moura), I cannot say that I cannot see myself in this attack but it would more likely be a departure abroad. Afterwards, you never know what might happen”.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal need the 5 capped Frenchman to bolster their strike force that has struggled so far this season. Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have both failed to find the net regularly for the Reds with Daniel Sturridge spending most of the campaign out injured. Arsenal meanwhile need another striker and so expect movement for Lacazette soon!
