Liverpool are ready to relieve Mario Balotelli of his nightmare tenure at Anfield in the hope to free up funds to sign duo, Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Romero according to the Express.
Balotelli has found life hard at Merseyside and has struggled to settle as he would have hoped. Rumours have re-surfaced that Liverpool are keen to offload the Italian as they look to replace him with long term target, Argentina striker, Gonzalo Higuain.
Higuain is currently plying his trade in Italy with Napoli under former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez who has also been linked with a return to Anfield.
Meanwhile, the sale of Balotelli could also open up the door for Liverpool to bring in prise goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, another Argentinian intentional who excelled at the World Cup last summer.
Will Rodgers be tempted to sell Balotelli to free up funds for a double catch?
