Swansea City are eyeing up a move for a full back to help bring cover and competition for Neil Taylor. Since the departure on Ben Davies last season, Taylor has had to hold the forte on the left wing.
The Swans are said to be interested in 2 full backs according to reports from the Pink’un, Tottenham’s Kyle Naughton and Norwich City’ Martin Olsson. Both players are competent full backs who would fit in nicely to Swansea’s patient, passing style of football.
Naughton would be the favoured choice with more Premier League experience, but it seems Spurs are unwilling to sell whilst Olsson could be the more realistic choice.
The 26-year-old, Swedish international has made 58 appearances since joining the Canaries in 2013, from Blackburn Rovers. Olsson has provided consistency and quality in the left back position, whilst keeping former Manchester City star, Javier Garrido out of the starting line up.
Olsson would be a huge loss to City if Swansea were to prise him away, but Garry Monk will have to be ready to pay the big bucks if Norwich were to consider an offer.
