QPR are planning to add some force to their front line as they hunt Southampton’s Dani Osvaldo, currently on loan with Inter Milan. According to the Daily Mirror, Osvaldo is a key target for relegation battlers QPR.
Pablo Dani Osvaldo is 29-years-old and had a tough time of it at Southampton following his move to the South Coast in August 2013 for almost £13m. Perhaps the trouble makers attitude is best summed up in his career stats that have seen him played over 33 league matches for just 1 club in his varied career, that being for AS Roma.
Osvaldo graduated the youth academy of Huracan where he netted 11 times in 33 first team matches. Following that he had short stays at Atalanta, Leece, Fiorentina, Bolonga and Espanyol before joining AS Roma in August 2011 for €15m. Osvaldo found form and netted 27 Serie A goals in 55 matches, attracting the interest of Premier League Southampton.
The Saints secured his services but he only netted 3 Premier League goals in 13 matches. Osvaldo had a training ground spat with Jose Fonte that saw him loaned to Juventus at the end of last season. Inter Milan then took him on loan for the 2014/15 campaign but he has been sent back for another argument, this time with Mauro Icardi.
Harry Redknapp is prepared to give the forward a chance to try and save QPR and his career but do QPR fans really want him? How should the 14 capped Italian international look to fix his attitude?
