Swansea City are reportedly in talks with French side, St Etienne over midfielder, Frank Tabanou according to BBC Sport.
Swansea have been said to have placed a £3m bid for the former France Under-21 international Tabanou, 25, who can also play on the wing.
Tabanou’s agent, Philippe Lamboley said: “The two clubs are in discussions, but I cannot confirm a bid has been made.”
Swansea City manager, Garry Monk sold Wilfried Bony to Manchester City this transfer window for £28m. It is believed Monk will look to spend the money on bringing in more quality in other positions and evidently Tabanou has been identified as a potential target.
Tabanou started his career at French side, Toulouse where he made 138 appearances and scored 15 times. He then joined rivals, Saint-Étienne in 2013 and has so far clocked up 36 appearances and has bagged 3 goals for the side who currently lie 4th in Ligue 1.
