Alexis Sanchez. The name on everyone’s lips.
The 26-year-old has now bagged 18 goals and has 8 assists since arriving at the Emirates in the summer and has taken no time at all to adjust to life in the Premier League.
For me, Sanchez has to be considered one of the best players in the Premier League.
I’ve never seen a player have such an infectious quality that seeps into his fellow team mates. In the rare case of losing the ball, Sanchez picks himself us and sprints to fight back for possession; but not just that, it encourages his colleagues to join the hunt. A player with sheer determination and passion for the game, Sanchez is a breath of fresh air, not just for Arsenal fans, but for football fans in general.
I remember Arsene Wenger saying “He’s off our (fitness) charts, his recovery is incredible. We’ve seen nothing like it”, when probed about Sanchez’s match-fitness.
Surely the Chilean will burn out? Won’t he? That’s what I thought over Christmas, but it seems the striker is merely changing through the gears. With every game he looks to get better and better.
The question is, how much better can this young lad get?
The likes of Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero have been branded as the best strikers in the Premier League, but I tell you what, for his all round play, energy, goals, assists and match winning performances, there is none better than Alexis Sanchez.
