25-year-old former starlet Scott Sinclair is set to become an Aston Villa player according to the Birmingham Mail. The deal had previously looked dead but is now back on before the transfer window closes.
Scott Sinclair began his career with Bristol Rovers but after impressing at youth level, he joined Chelsea in 2004. Sinclair only played 5 Premier League matches for Chelsea, finding himself shipped out on loan to Plymouth Argyle, Queen’s Park Rangers, Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic. After earning a lot of experience away from Stamford Bridge, Welsh side Swansea City completed a deal for him in August 2010 for an initial £500,000.
During his first Championship season, Sinclair netted 19 goals in 43 matches that propelled him to stardom. Sinclair scored a hat-trick in the Play-Off final to send Swansea City into the Premier League. Sinclair played in every game of his first full Premier League campaign and earned a mega move to Manchester City the following summer (August 2012).
Manchester City’s new winger though failed to make an impact and has just 13 Premier League appearances to his name for the Citizens. West Bromwich Albion took him on loan briefly last season but now it seems Aston Villa will take the 25-year-old until the end of the campaign and give him another shot at being a star.
