Chelsea striker, Diego Costa has been charged with violent conduct after 2 stamps on Liverpool players following the Capital One Cup semi-final.

The striker now faces a three-match-ban for his challenge on Emre Can which has been said as to the stamp which has resulted in the ban.

If found guilty, Costa will miss Saturday’s crunch tie against current Premier League champions, Manchester City. The Spaniard has until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge according to BBC Sport.

Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers feels Costa knew exactly what he was doing, “He could easily hurdle over the young player and he directs his studs right on to his ankle, which could’ve been nasty.”

Whilst Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho said after the game that he feels the Brazil-born Spain international is being targeted unfairly.

No matter, the F.A. will see fit that Costa is judged fairly.

Will he get the ban?
