Tottenham Hotspur fans will be delighted to hear that starlet Harry Kane will be offered a new long term contract. According to The Sun he is set to sign the deal as soon as possible.

Harry Kane is a product of Tottenham Hotspur’s youth system. He graduated their youth academy and spent time in League One and the Championship with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City to gain more first team experience. Kane played 10 Premier League games for Spurs last season, scoring 3 times but this campaign has really been his breakthrough.

When new manager Mauricio Pochettino joined the White Hart Lane club he favoured Spaniard Roberto Soldado and Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor ahead of Harry Kane as his main strikers. However both struggled in the Premier League whilst Kane flourished in the Europa League and other cup competitions. Now Kane is a major Spurs star with 8 goals in 17 Premier League games since the start of the season and 18 in 26 in all competitions.

Kane is yet to be capped by England by virtue of the long break from the international game over the winter but is nailed on to be called up in Roy Hodgson’s first squad of 2015. The 10 capped England Under-21 star is just 21-years-old but has been linked to a move with Real Madrid and other massive clubs in Europe. Tottenham Hotspur though will look to tie Kane down till 2020 with a long contract worth an initial £40,000-per-week.

Is Kane your best player Spurs fans?
