Former Bolton Wanderers manager, Dougie Freedman has taken over the helm at Nottingham Forest today after Stuart Pearce left the role at the club.
With six defeats in his last seven, the former England U21’s manager called time on his time at Forest. However, in a statement read by the club it was revealed that Pearce could be offered a new role at the club.
“Unfortunately, recent results convinced me it was best to pursue alternative managerial options. I hope our supporters understand my decision.
“Stuart is someone I have always admired and that will never change. For that reason I have offered him an advisory role at the club, which I sincerely hope he accepts so we can all move forward together.”
With a news conference due on Tuesday the former Forest player, Freedman will be Christened into his new role as Manager of Nottingham Forest.
