Tottenham Hotspur have won the race to MK Don’s teenage starlet, Dele Alli. The fee is understood to be around £5m according to Sky Sports News HQ.
Dele Alli began his career with City Colts but the Milton Keynes born midfielder was spotted by the MK Dons academy and snapped up. After graduating the youth system, Alli made his Dons debut in 2012. Last season was Alli’s breakthrough at MK Dons with 33 League One appearances and 6 goals from midfield.
This campaign, Alli has become a seriously hot prospect for Premier League clubs chasing his signature. Alli has played 25 League One matches so far, scoring 12 times with 30 showings in all competitions. The boyhood Liverpool fan was linked to Newcastle United but it seems Tottenham Hotspur have secured the England Under-19 international.
The 6ft 2in midfield has a fantastic future in football and Tottenham have allowed Alli to remain with MK Dons on loan until the end of the season. This comes as good news to manager Karl Robinson who will receive a big fee and the talented player who could finally take them up to the Championship.
