I found out about this a few months ago from a PR, so naturally assumed everybody knew about it. I think I may have been wrong as I cant find any details about it on the information super highway, except for this post on nylonmag.com.
According to nylonmag.com the new store will be bigger and better than the current London store, taking inspiration from the Tokyo mega-store which along with a massive range of A Bathing Ape apparel has a cafe, art gallery and hair salon. The store is scheduled to open in 2009 so you’ll have to wait a while to get a purple camo burger, but it does sound really cool even if you’re not keen on the Ape.
I’ll keep you posted with any more information I can glean, perhaps from the horses mouth: get me a phone and the number of A Bathing Ape’s PR, I’m getting some answers!

It’s a good day for a plaid lover like myself, with trend reports claiming that the American working man is ready to have his time in the fashion lime light the new A/W 08 range from Levi’s has dropped at Oi Polloi.
I’ve been a fan of Levi’s Vintage denim for some time now but have always felt that the range as a whole has left a little to be desired, however this year the line up looks great with some of the usual suspect such as 501′s and 505′s and some awesome (you guessed it) plaid shirts.
So embrace your inner lumberjack and check out the full range after the jump.

Do you have thousands of pounds or dollars burning a hole in your pocket? Do you also feel it is time for a complete wardrobe change? But do you have no clue about what’s hot or not in the fast paced world of fashion? Well then it’s your lucky day because those bloody helpful chaps over at men.style.com have gotten “14 of menswear’s top tastemakers [to] name their favourite pieces of the season”. As if this wasn’t enough I’m here on hand naming my top 3 picks from the list, so click through on the jump to see how badly I lack any imagination.

If you have never heard of The Gumball 3000 then clearly you need to pay more attention to the lifestyles of the rich and famous. The Gumball is a 3000 mile annual road rally frequented by only the richest of the rich who can afford to write off their Lamborghini and pay £60,000 for the privilege.
The road race was started in 1999 by Maximillion Cooper with the premise of raising enough money to fund his own Formula 1 race team. Nine years on and the race team never materialised, however The Gumball has become a brand name in itself pulling major sponsors from around the world.

We talked briefly about H&M’s fashion forward capsule collection and now that pictures are available, we can all get a good gawk at them. Whilst it ultimately comes down to fit and build quality, on first look I’m slightly disappointed.
There’s a reliance on the colour grey, presumably to tone down the edginess of the looks and some of the pieces have already been done on the high street. On the bright side, I do like the look of the blazer on the far right and Rick Owens-esque long sleeved shirt (far left) looks like it could be an interesting piece. You’ll be able to judge for yourself come mid September, when the collection is released.

Fashionista has been sent a pic of one reader’s wardrobe (above)- her shoeboxes are transparent, her clothes are colour-coordinated, everything is obsessively neat and you can only imagine she has an itsy-bit too much time on her hands. Brandish Editor Isabelle has opened up her wardrobe for a new Catwalk Queen feature and it’s certainly isn’t that meticulous!
So, while my wardrobe is most definitely not as organised as the Fashionista reader (I keep all my clothes in drawers and after too long away from home have a habit of living out of a suitcase,) we at Brandish want to know how tidy your wardrobe/closet/clothes space is?
Tell us in the poll below!

Lining has been an interesting part of blazers for a while now, with inventive designers using it to showcase a contrasting colour or pattern. Comme Des Garçons have gone one step further with this lining print of an anime-like boxer. It’s the kind of the lining that seriously makes you consider walking around in the same pose the models doing above. You can get this from the usual outlets once they start stocking the A/W collections.

I’m currently down in London, lapping up the (dubious) sunshine and attempting to dress in a way befitting of the cramped, and quite frankly torturous, morning tube journey. Turns out they’re not too pleased about being next to someone wearing a blazer with Margiela-esque shoulderpads. Basically, the heat is ridiculous and so yesterday I wondered into Convent Garden and bought some vintage sunglasses at Rokit.

As the old saying goes, ‘another day, another Fred Perry collaboration’. This time with Tomoki Sukezane. It does make a mockery of the whole ‘Fred Perry is for fans of style not fashion’ stance though, as the company are clearly using collaborations as a means to follow trends.
Cynical nit picking aside, this collaboration is right on trend for autumn with the chunky knits and preppy stylings. The knits are made from a cotton and cashmere blend and are available in the four colours above. As it is a Japan based collaboration, I’m not sure when they’ll be available to Europe or America but when news appears, we’ll let you know.

With most brands turning into lifestyle brands, you’ll have to provide a little extra to stand out from the crowd. Cold Method are doing just that with their ’9 aesthetics’ capsule collection. The Dutch label state that you need 9 essentials for every season, starting with a t-shirt, denim, shirt, trousers, knitwear, suit, coat and an accessory. Check out the collection at their website.

Knife crime has reached an unbelievable height in Britain and with the murder of Ben Kinsella, the seventeenth teenager to die as a result of knife crime in London this year, Grazia has launched their ‘Lives for Knives’ campaign. As part of the campaign, the magazine has got Henry Holland, Katharine Hamnett and Sophia Kokosalaki on board to design t-shirts as well as laying a set of Five Government Demands.
On my WISHLIST is Henry Holland’s design, an electric-blue t-shirt with striking design and bold lettering. One size fits all and all proceeds go to the Ben Kinsella Foundation, a charity set up for the prevention of future knife-crime. I couldn’t think of a more worthy summer buy.
T-shirt, Exclusively at Matches, £36

Here is Jude Law, at it again in front of the camera for Dunhill’s autumn/winter 2008-9 campaign. Only this time, the actor got to keep his receding real hairline, including what little tuffs of the stuff that he has left. The lesson in all of this: don’t fool a customer, FOOL! Dior Homme please take note.

Dandies are back in fashion (according to Mens Flair/L’Uomo Vogue). If you’re getting weary of your wardrobe why not add some eye catching accessories? If you’re looking for ways to jazz up your shirts, you could start with a neck tie. Or better yet, just get a shirt with a matching neck tie, like this Unity striped shirt.
Call me crazy, but I think this would look great in the workplace. Obviously not in the power meeting with the CEO, but any other day is fine. Sure, you might get heckled slightly for using some blue sky thinking to step outside the box but it’ll be worth it.
