Brandish needs an intern – fancy going to a load of fashion/grooming/tech events?

Brandish.tv needs an intern to come and help us grow. We will need you between now and Christmas to spend a lot of your time going to events, checking out next season’s ranges, sniffing the latest fragrances and playing with the latest toys.

Ideally you will have a fashion blog already and will be looking to break into style journalism.

You can be male or female – as long you can write brilliantly, take pics and carry home goody bags from events then you are perfect.

You’ll need to be in our central London office for three days at least a week. We can help out with expenses, and all the freebies will be yours to keep.

Every now and then we like to ask our readers a few questions about what they get up to online.

We also try and make it worth your while too by adding in some great prizes.

So if you fancy being in with a shot of winning some prizes all you need do is click on this link and answer a few questions. They are mainly about what you do in social media, how much you love Facebook and what you think are the hottest new websites. So go on fill out the survey it should only take you five minutes.

As for the prizes, well we have been scouring the cupboards and have so far pulled out a camera, a tablet and a hi-fi. There will be at least a couple more goodies so we will post the definitive list in a day or so’s time.

Giveaway: Two tickets to the Ford Focus ‘Start More Live’ event

Ford has just launch the new Ford Focus and to celebrate they are hosting an event called “’Start More Live” on May 25 in Central London. In the run up to the event they have teamed up with Tim Lovejoy and Robbie Knox, to hunt down the best of everything from gadgets to golf, stunt driving and food.

At the event there will be the latest car tech on display, the chance to try out some golfing trick shots with Jeremy Dale, Stefan Gates cooking up an extreme culinary storm, and a performance by The Enemy’.

There are only 250 tickets to the event, but Ford have generously offered us a pair to give away to Brandish readers. To enter leave us a comment and we will pick a winner at random on Friday May 20th.

We recently came across this great new men’s t-shirt label, t-lab. We loved their distinctive style mixing art, design and popular culture.

Hackett Spring/Summer 2011 collection

The quintessentially British label, Hackett have launched their spring/summer 2011 collection. Comprised of four ranges, Hackett have tried to bring a classy sophisticated look to almost every summer event, whether it be a day in the country, a business engagement or just relaxing by the seaside. Although it is quite a traditional collection, I can’t help but love it. There are just so many timeless pieces worth the investment.

The four ranges include the Correspondent collection, which is inspired by “the globetrotting gentleman”, and incorporates light-weight, warm weather suiting and iconic travel garments, such as safari jackets, chinos and macs, with a contemporary cut and style. The Mayfair collection shows off the classic Hackett tailoring combined with knitwear in summery tones of fresh lilac, warm pink and mint green. The collection is a real blend of sophisticated, casual sportswear. The Caribbean collection continues a travel theme with bold colours and prints on cotton and linen trousers, shorts, polos, casual shirts, and swim wear. Finally the Nautical collection comprises of traditional maritime colours, and key pieces including a double-faced navy jacket with red lining, horizontal striped blazers, lightweight white suiting and nautical striped polo shirts.

Bill Nighy.jpgCelebrity photographer Jillian Edelstein has snapped the best of them including Kate Moss, Simon Pegg and Bill Nighy (pictured). Now she’s working with Sony Ericsson on a new project called Eyes Wide Open to promote the launch of its latest Satio handset on Vodfaone.

The idea is simple: to capture images of 121 eyeballs in only 12.1 hours. Sony Ericsson are searching for people from all over the country and all walks of life to take part in the project.

Foul-mouthed funmongers Modern Toss have teamed up with Kickers to produce Random bandits, a series of animated shorts. The first film has already been released at the Kickers MySpace, and the remaining two are available to view on the 20th April and 5th May.

One half of the duo Mick Bunnage, said: “It’s not everyday you get asked to work with a piece of iconic footwear is it? We were also impressed to discover that the history of the Kickers brand centred on French students lobbing bricks at each other in the late 1960′s.” Explaining the features of the shoe he said: “We’ve done a top notch Kick Hi ‘red’ with two flies licking the stitching and exchanging a topical observation. We’ve ordered a pair each already. Tasty!”

Dress well? Yeh, prove it then

Are you Esquire’s Best Dressed Real man? He is, rather he was. Frank Kelly, a Business Development manager from Miami, won the 2007 accolade along with a shed load of prizes and now Esquire is on the hunt for someone to steal Frank’s (manly) crown. Along with the title there is a prize package worth $40,000 including an IWC watch, a round trip flight in a Leare Jet, a $10,000 Esquire wardrobe and a trip the Ney York City.

The EBDRM website is chocked full of profiles and though most of the competition is laughable (seriously check out the site- I laughed for like a week) there are some diamonds in the rough so don’t count yourself a shoe in just because you own a waistcoat.
