20 Most Iconic Rock ‘n’ Roll Hairstyles

By Gerald Lynch on June 29th, 2012

Rock ‘n’ roll can be broken down as follows: 10% fashion, 10% music and 110% HAIR. We know that adds up to 130%. That’s why we’re writing for a fashion site and aren’t quantum physicists. But it also acts to highlight just how important good hair can be in the making of a musical and cultural icon, and cementing the status of bona-fide rock ‘n’ roll stars. Where would Elvis be without his quiff? Or Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust without his…his unique style? On the dole queue, that’s where. Forget Paul Weller, the real Modfather was Steve Marriott of The Small Faces. As cockney as pie and mash or pearly kings and queens, Marriott's long-sided hair cut and deft fashion sense laid the foundation for decades of mod fashion to follow.

Mishka make some pretty wicked T’s, for one there is the awesome collab they did with Richard Kern bringing boobies into your fashion life. For me though not much tops the awesome 80′s Metalness of this t-shirt. Entitled “DON’T FEAR THE REAPER” and coming in two colours- black and white, this is definitely on my Christmas wish list.

Cut the sleeves off your denim jack and rock out like Bill and Ted this festive season with this Mishka T at a VAT adjusted £29.36 from wellgosh.

Top 20 Cannes fashion moments

By admin on May 23rd, 2008

Men.Style.com has a retrospective of its top 20 Cannes fashion moments. Most of the fashion moments come from the 60′s and 70′s, the 80′s has two looks, the 90′s has three and the noughties only get one, that being Brad Pitt’s Tom Ford suit.

The fact that there was only one choice from the 00′s must prove that male movie stars have stopped making an effort. It’s like they’re all afraid of being featured on the worst dressed list and have decided to dress in black suit and tie wherever they go. I’m resisting the urge to go on a rant, but you know there’s a problem when sartorial dullard Daniel Craig gets feted for his fashion sense.
