With all the hype surrounding this year’s London 2012 Olympics, it’s easy to forget that there’s also a major football tournament going on too this summer in the shape of the Euro 2012 cup.
Adidas, key sponsors and kit designers for Great Britain’s Team GB, would have more excuses than most if they were to forget the fact. But quite to the contrary, they’re putting out their retro-inspired Euro Cup Collection as part of the Adidas Originals line to mark this summer’s footie highlights.

The unofficial collection includes reworked old-skool designs of England, France, Germany and Poland kits, with the Poles hosting the tournament.

Track tops, windbreakers and jerseys for each nation round out the collection.

Collaborations, Sportswear
By Laura on January 25th, 2011

Jeremy Scott has collaborated with Adidas Originals on the latest apparel and footwear series. Scott, always the controversial figure, has come up with a truly eccentric line with clear punk and military influences. The Outlandish garments include multi-colored trousers, tartan, a skeleton hoodie, shoe-print mac and a french fry tracksuit among other crazy prints. The line is expected to be released in mid Feb.

From the genius mind of My Chemical Toilet’s Stuart:
If you’re anything like me, you’re an original. And you demonstrate your originality by wearing the same shoes as everyone else, right?

Designer Spotlight, T-shirts, Polos & Shirts
By Jonathan Smith on October 31st, 2008

As promised here is the first full preview of the Alyasha x Adidas Originals collab – and arriving a little earlier than I predicted, aren’t we lucky lucky people! Coming via Caliroots (the selected carrier for Sweden) the line looks really strong, drawing influence from 1950′s Americana with a leather and a baseball jacket as key pieces.
The line will be split into two releases, one in February and then another in May. Prices will be set from mid to high, with all pieces in the collection having limited production numbers and limited availability. Upon release the line will be available, of course, from Caliroots, so keep your eyes peeled.

A few weeks ago we gave you previews of the Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals collab and I for one didn’t much like it. This week highsnobiety has got their hands on a tiny preview of Adidas Originals’ colabs with Alyasha (from Fiberops) and Kazuki (from Fragment Design). Though this preview is limited to one pic of each, the pieces look good and far better than the Jeremy Scott collaboration- i.e. no leopard print in sight.
With any luck Adidas Originals is back on track with these two partnerships, full previews coming in a few weeks time.
Jump through for more images and check out the highsnobiety site for quotes from both designers on their lines with Adidas.

This year Vibe Magazine turns 15 and to commemorate this mile stone birthday the magazine, with the help of Adidas, has knocked up this limited edition Forum Hi. The sneaker has a subtle colourway but is high on detail with the use of ostrich and snake skin and patterned laces and stripes, also it is limited to only 1500 pairs- so I suggest you get your rear into gear and reach for that credit card now. However if you feel that 1500 pairs is a bit too common for you then there is a single super special signed pair of the Forums that will go to the highest bidder, for more info check it out on the Vibe website.
The Vibe Forum Hi is available from today at any Adidas Originals store and at shopadidas.com.

Adidas Originals have always had great accessories but you’d have to be quick off the mark to get them. Most of their pieces don’t even reach the official website, so it’s hard to find a bag like this Adidas fieldwork bag.
The styling is clean and timeless, giving the bag a longevity that check-laden bags don’t have. The problem with bags made from this material is that it can’t really cope with heat well. For example, if you’re wearing shorts, it’s likely to start sticking to your legs. Despite this, this bag is an investment as opposed to a trend-led buy and you’ll be using it for years to come.

Footwear

The Adidas originals range hasn’t adapted
to the internet. They’re still hoarding most of their good items in store and
putting drips of it online. They do have an extensive range of trainers,
including these Pro
model Vin trainers.
If the shoes make the man, then the laces
make the shoes. And the laces on these Pro models are only making them look
ugly. Imagine these trainers with white or plain blue laces. It’d look much
better, wouldn’t it? If you can get past this easily fixable fault, then these
are available from the Adidas Originals store for £90.
