Celebs already make us jealous with their post-Christmas holidays in the Carribean, the Bold and the Beautiful have been out at Coachella, the first festival of the summer.
From David Hasslehoff to Jared Leto the US stars were out in full force, having a lovely time but we also had some Uk slebs representing, with Agyness Deyn and Henry Holland putting in an appearance.
“Rake-thin, 12 year-old-looking, alien-eyed lady-boys”- this is how one of my friends describes the male models of today. While I don’t quite agree with his overly-harsh and rather sweeping statement, I have to admit that there are times where the men plastered over magazines and high-fashion ad campaigns just seem completely out-of-touch.
Grazia recently reported that Henry Holland has 662 friends on Facebook. However, upon closer inspection (and my quest to see if old Henners has uploaded his pic with our Catwalk Queen editor Gemma,) I found that there are two Henry Hollands on Facebook. And neither has 662 friends.
One of the Henries has 403 friends and the other has 582- how intriguing! Worst of all?- neither has Agyness Deyn as a Facebook mate. The Brandish team does love a fashion mystery!
I’m currently sitting in a small room in India with a fan spinning in an attempt to cool me down and a mosquito net blanketing the balcony door. I have to admit it’s pretty hard to imagine wearing trench coats right now. But, I’m a proud Brit and nothing is going to get in the way of my winter-wardrobe appreciation.
This Outfit Pick shows you how to rock a modern, edgy winter look that will have you feeling protected and warm but not boring and hoping no-one spots you in your M&S beanie.
The trench adds a sharp shot of buzzing colour and the t-shirt and boots add an urban gypsy vibe that’s very on-trend. The umbrella…well, that’s just for fun.

Franco’s cover (left) bears a striking resemblance to Agy Deyn’s Pop editorial of S/S 2007
Oops- I genuinely only just realised that the title of this post could be interpreted pretty freely. Anyway, let’s all just grow up and listen to the explanation.
Basically, after a sell-out premiere issue featuring Kate Moss in a cat-suit, Interview magazine has decided to use James Franco on the cover of their October issue. Photographed by Mikael Jansson, this is a huge step for Franco and after his role as the latest Gucci-guy, he has cemented himself as a fixture on the high-fashion scene. This cover however, reminds me of Agyness Deyn’s editorial in the Spring/Summer 2007 issue of Pop Magazine.
Read on for more pictures and a full editorial review with highlights including Raf Simons, Karl Templer and Ryan McGinley.
Wallace poses in a Paul Smith suit and Gromit sits with a Duchamp scarf and pair of Ray Ban ‘Wayfarers.’
Zooey Deschanel, Agy Deyn, Irina Lazareanu, Vanessa Paradis; the fashion world is known for it’s adopting of a different muse for each different season. However, while most muses can be linked by their quirky style, elfin features and statement look, Wallace & Gromit really stand out from the crowd.
That hasn’t stopped Harvey Nichols from enlisting their modeling talent for their latest campaign and decked out in D&G shirts, Alexander McQueen suits, Paul Smith scarfs and Ray Ban Wafarers, I’m actually quite jealous!
Read on for more details and pictures- it’s worth it, trust me!
I’m currently down in London, lapping up the (dubious) sunshine and attempting to dress in a way befitting of the cramped, and quite frankly torturous, morning tube journey. Turns out they’re not too pleased about being next to someone wearing a blazer with Margiela-esque shoulderpads. Basically, the heat is ridiculous and so yesterday I wondered into Convent Garden and bought some vintage sunglasses at Rokit.
Five O’Clock Heroes – who, it should be noted no one gave a toss about before making that awful song with Agyness Deyn – seem to be of the misguided notion that anyone actually cares about their music. Frontman Anthony Ellis stated:
“Whenever we have an interview now, all anyone ever asks us about is Agy. It can be really frustrating when the questions should be about music, not about who Agy’s dating and stuff like that.”
As this is Brandish, I feel it only fair to blame this all on their attire choices. If they didn’t dress like they’re popping down to their local Lidl, people might dream up a few more questions to ask them. I’m 110% sure that their lacklustre attire is the only reason the press isn’t asking them questions about their music.
