As anyone who’s ever stood in a field of 80,000 people listening to banging tunes in the middle of a soggy British summer festival can attest to, staying warm and dry at an outdoor gig is often a proper struggle (we’re not talking about you lucky Californian sods who get to bask in the sunshine of Coachella each year). Staying warm, dry and stylish is nigh-on impossible.
The nautical leanings of the new Musto 1964 Collection however looks set to be a nice marriage of both fashion and function.

Taking in items including wax deck coat waterproofs, parkas, chinos and even a beanie that’d make Steve Zissou himself envious, it’s a classic look with items that could slip easily into most casual wardrobes for the coming Autumn and Winter seasons. The range will be available from September.
Scroll down for a closer look at what’s on offer, and hit up www.musto.com for more info.

New year, new offices. In case you hadn’t already noticed from our Twitter feed we’ve relocated 15 mins down the road to the entirely different world of Soho and although we’re still adjusting I think it’s gonna be good.
What better omen for a move than finding a well-dressed young man smoking outside your offices? Even better, Frank as he is called works on our floor so he might become a regular Love the Look apparition. Frank rides a bike, hence the skinny jeans and he tells me his cool belt is from the faraway land of America. His African scarf is just a simple piece of fabric, and he has a few some he buys, some he nicks off his mum.
As you can see from the background and the lighting our new offices are mmm, corporate but who knows what other sartorial gems are hiding behind the frosted windows?

Clothing, Designer Spotlight, Outfit picks

Note to Editor: Can we feature pieces we bought just yesterday?
Now that I’ve cleared that up, I can proceed with this Christmas Outfit Pick. This polo is a great find and the loud print is definitely eye-catching. I found it in Topman yesterday afternoon and it was reduced to £10 from £16. In the image, the polo looks black but it is actually blue and the print looks slightly bigger (as opposed to the foot-print looking print pictured!)
I styled it with blue skinny jeans from Topman, two-tone trainers from Gargyle.com and a cable-knit beanie from Old Navy. If you want us to feature an outfit you have designed around a high-street item (from any country,) send it to isabelle@shinymedia.com.
To buy the polo click here and to see the outfit details see after the jump!

Nicola Formichetti, the fashion extraordinaire and creative director of Dazed & Confused, writes an awesome blog which he manages to update almost three times a week. With pictures from his various trips, nights out, karaoke parties and Tokyo fashion-fests, the blog is a treasure trove of great images and this is no different. The pic was only put up yesterday morning and it shows some of Nicola’s friends posing on a night out in London. I love the leopard-print beanie of the fashionisto on the left and the fur collar of the guy on the right looks like a necessary luxury for the altogether depressing Baltic temperatures we have been feeling in recent times.
Go to Nicola’s blog for more pictures of his glamourous life!

Dot Dash; it’s the name of a great song by Wire (listen to the song against a montage of Star Trek clips here) and it’s also the name of this hat by Junk De Luxe from Asos (£35).
A satisfyingly handknit look hat it mixes demure grey with an earthy brick red and has a jaunty little bobble on the top. Forget pseudo-sporty or military looks this beanie will keep you warm and magically instill a boyish urge to start kicking leaves in the park. Miles better than pretending you’re on manoeuvres or in Chamonix.
