Big Brother’s Little Brother (BBLB) presenters have a tradition for being rather cool fellows and after the likes of Dermot O’Leary and Russell Brand, George Lamb is the latest man to be lighting our screens with his look. Take a look at the screencap (left) from a recent episode of BBLB; the cropped and turned up trousers, the worn-in brogues, the grey (still a key colour) and the Alber Elbaz-inspired bow-tie.
Topped off by the same messy but manicured hair that catapulted the likes of Bob Geldof to style icon status, Lamb has the foundations of an up ‘n’ coming sartorial institution.

Last week’s diet poll obviously hit home for a lot of you- but in a way that I had not expected. I confess to being a guy who is conscious of my weight and I have dieted. I see nothing wrong with wanting to fit into a pair of skinny jeans but thought I was of a minority. However, that appears not to be the case; 57% of you voted that there was nothing wrong with watching your weight and had therefore dieted.
I know that most of you are unlikely to be suffering from an eating disorder but it appears that ‘Manorexia’ is no longer a fad-word put out by editors trying to fill pages of a cheap magazine but a reality edging it’s way into pop culture.

There are times I love gorging over celebrity looks; Cannes glamour, Oscar glory, MTV glitz. Then there are times when rather rubbish boybands return with a receding hairline and a group of barely-dressed female dancers, thinking they can win us all over with a rendition of an old classic and a bit of David Brent-dancing. Of course to pretend that BoyZone did not contribute to the Reid family soundrack would be a lie as Ronan’s “When You Say Nothing At All” has not only made my Mum cry but got my brother 16,414 Youtube hits. (I have, myself, never been influenced by that Irish twang and chorus of fiddles and flutes.)
Imagine my horror when the band recently returned to the O2 Arena in lamé trousers and chest-revealing waistcoats. I never thought I would be saying this but for once Take That could provide sutiable style inspiration.
