Brandish Christmas Picks: Comme Des Garçons – Synthetics

By Jonathan Smith on December 16th, 2008

comme-des-garcons-synthetics-series-6.jpg

Tis the season to buy fragrance but this year I’m looking for something a little more leftfield than Lynx shower gel, I want the Comme Des Garçons – Synthetics line. If you hadn’t heard and to be fair I hadn’t, this is series six in a line of fragrances from CDG each with their own theme. This line is split down into 5 very unique fragrances based around the idea of synthetic smells, available from Lucky Scent at $60 for a 75ml bottle and $3 for a tester.

Unlike my other Christmas picks all of which I greatly desire, this is probably the only one I have any intention of requesting for myself because I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to scent and this has really piqued my interest, if it has piqued yours then jump through to read what Lucky Scent has to say about the line.

Sad because the line has been out for weeks now and you don’t know where your next H&M + guest designer cross over hit is coming from? Never fear! Matthew Williamson designer and part time Christian Slater lookalike (seriously check the picture) is here to rescue you! WWD has it that Williamson and H&M will be releasing a line of womenswear at select H&M stores on April 23rd- “But I’m a man!” I hear you cry, well dry your eyes because following this limited release will be a general release of H&M x Williamson summer clothes which will include a menswear line, hurrah!

H&M x Comme des Garçons website goes live

By Jonathan Smith on October 28th, 2008

The H&M Comme des Garçons collab website has gone live and it has prices and everything! Speaking of the prices it all seems to be reasonable and has certainly piqued my curiosity enough to put a mark in my diary for the worldwide release which is of course 13th of November.

The collection does genuinely look really nice and far better than the usual H&M attempts. I usually don’t buy into the business of convenient collaborations between high fashion and high street but this one has really grabbed me by the balls so I can only recommend that you get yourself down to one of the select H&M stores on the release date.

Check the website here.
