Fashionista is stating that Katie Grand’s new LOVE magazine (published by Condé Nast,) is a “beacon of hope for the dying magazine industry and its dwindling fashion counterpart.” Well, it may be a beacon of hope for the magazine industry but Grand and her brilliant team have decided to get a head start with a very low-key blog.

The masthead of the magazine was revealed today and a look through the blog revealed such gems as Giles Deacon posing with a pair of Scotch-Egg-Glasses (the ‘it’ accessory of next season?) and fashion editors Francesca Burns and Victoria Young with the likes of Simon Cowelland David Walliams!

Men’s Vogue disappears

Further signs that the recession is affecting the fashion industry as Condé Nast announced their plan to absorb Men’s Vogue into its parent magazine Vogue. Editor in chief Jay Fielden is the only member of the magazine to be retained in the change and will reportedly be taking his assistant with him. Hopefully the cutbacks wont be affecting Vogue Hommes International.

Condé Nast’s fifth Fashion Rocks event was hardly devoid of well-dressed men: Valentino, Justin Timberlake (who’s fashion-savvy has become a matter of debate…well, for me anyway,) Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford (who’s rumoured to have scored an up-coming VMAN cover.) My point is that, for a menswear designer, Michael Bastian more than held his own in this pantheon of celebs.
