Love the Look: Coral shirt and navy shorts

Bit of a controversial choice this I’m sure, but for me this chap has got style in buckets. Coral was such a hit for women last year and the year before I hope it’s as big in menswear this year. It looks great with my other favourite colour, grey and is a surefire winner with all the washed out pastels we’re seeing at the moment.

Back to our Nipponese gentleman, his pairing of the shirt with a navy pair of shorts reveals his expert fashion nous and it’s set off wonderfully by his gold plaited belt. Now clock last years’ one hit wonder, the Wayfarer style sunnies and tell me he’s not your new style icon?

Uniqlo cotton cashmere cardigan

By admin on May 1st, 2008

uniqlo red coral cardigan.jpgUniqlo call this cardigan red, I call it coral but that’s because I’m a fashion writer and I love mentioning that it’s one of the hottest colours this season.

Whatever the colour Uniqlo have reduced it to £9.99 which is an absolute bargain. I’ve got this cardigan in grey and I’ve worn it to death, picking it up off my chair even when a cursory sniff revealed more than a soupçon of eau de tramp. That’s how much I love Uniqlo cardigans.

Red marl cardigan from Burton

By admin on April 18th, 2008

burton red marl cardigan.JPGWhile we’re waiting to crack out the summer garms one of the best ways to look a bit less wintry is to add a bit of colour to your outfit.

This cardigan from Burton is an unsual kind of tomatoey red because of the marl, but I like it. If I was writing on Catwalk Queen I might be tempted to say something like ‘it’s coral, this season’s new colour and is bang on trend’. But I wont. It’s only £25 and will make a great addition to your wardrobe and add a bit of a kick to any outfit.

Topman v-neck cashmere jumper

By ShinyMedia on December 28th, 2007

The cashmere may not be very longwearing or the best quality but when a jumper like this is reduced to £17 it’s worth a punt. It’s from Topman and you don’t even have to leave the house to get it and what’s more the khaki colour is unusual but wearable. Team it with grey trousers and tee in a soft but luminous colour like coral which is tipped to be the hot colour this spring.
