Last night was the opening ceremony of the L’Oreal National Movie Awards at Wembley Arena in London. The celebs were out in force, but Ed Westwick stood out in particular in his Shawl Lapel Tux Jacket and Mohair/Wool Tux Pants by Hickey Freeman. Nice!
Perma-pout Ed Westwick had a sharp slicked-back do, which always looks good for formal occasions. Use pomade and a fine-tooth comb to acheive this look, we like Black & White Lite for this. Mark Ronson wasn’t wearing his Topshop jacket but still sported a cobalt blue shirt. His mighty quiff is helped by the fact he has a thick head of hair, but Trevor Sorbie’s styling clay and a small blob of mousse will help achieve that hold without too much shine.
Surprisingly ex-Blue member Lee Ryan also sported a great do. Shorn on the sides and with a slight quiff, it’s not too OTT but still has style. You can achieve this with a little blow-drying and some Elnett hairspray.
We’ve featured Alexa Chung, Mischa Barton and Hannah Murray all looking gorgeous in our CQ galleries but stylistically, award ceremonies are always less of a big deal for the men.
We’ve sifted through the guys and brought you some gems and some definite stinkers, from Harry Hill to Ed Westwick we’ve got a good spectrum from the evening.
Only a few months ago, we told you of how Mario Testino had let it slip that Chace Crawford was to get the cover of VMAN. Since then, Chace has got his cover (although the Brandish team weren’t overly enthusiastic) and a whole new series of Gossip Girl has begun.
In this video, the Grazia Team give Chace their ‘Grazia Guy Fashion Quiz’ and the results are disastrous! I might work in fashion but I’m sure most Brandish readers could score better. What do you think?
Watch the video and then e-mail us to tell us how you do!
Details magazine caught up with the three guys from Gossip Girl recently in an interview which saw Brit bad boy Ed Westwick proclaim he was Batman… Er, ok!
Co-stars Penn Badgley and Chace Crawford also get a grilling in the forthcoming issue, with Crawford making clear the intentions for his character: “I’m hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!”
The new Batman film, Dark Knight, has been causing quite a stir throughout the film industry. Heath Ledger’s stellar acting, the new and improved Batmobile, the expectations thrust upon Christian Bale- all these things are no doubt exciting but how did the creative edge of this film translate onto the red carpet?
Read on for full details of this thriller evening.
