Alfred Shaheen, man who brought Hawaiian shirts to the masses dies aged 86
Alfred Shaheen, the man responsible for popularising the Hawaiian shirt died on the 22nd of December.
Taking on his parents’ business after returning from WWII Shaheen built up the company turning it into a million dollar enterprise with a group of highly skilled workers dubbed Alfred Shaheen’s City of Craftsmen.
