Uniqlo announce Opening Ceremony and Gilded Age for their Designers Invitation Project

uniqlo opening ceremony humberto leon carol lim.jpgUniqlo are announcing their collaborations for spring and Opening Ceremony have been confirmed for a menswear collection. Also taking part in the Designers Invitation Project this season are Gilded Age who’s classic take on Americana will sit well with the Uniqlo aesthetic.

One half of Opening Ceremony, Humberto Leon said: “when you order this much, the cost significantly decreases. We had to ask ourselves, ‘How many zippers can we really have in a garment?’ The craftsmanship is there. They executed all our details on an amazing level.” Their collaboration with Chloe Sevigny was really well received so it’s with great anticipation that we await for their line, which debuts in March.

You Would If You Could: Busy Boots

gold+boots.jpgAfter too many torturous nights of Cotton Eye Joe and Cowboy-clad cankles, customised boots have been effectively ruined. From D&G to Calvin Klein, embellished boots have done the rounds this season and I want in on the action. My brown leather Chelsea’s have blurred into wardrobe background and now I’m looking out for glittery, brightly coloured boots without any Simon Cowell heel. I don’t want hi-tops or Converse-style trainers but proper Dior Homme-on-a-budget boots.
