Last night was the opening ceremony of the L’Oreal National Movie Awards at Wembley Arena in London. The celebs were out in force, but Ed Westwick stood out in particular in his Shawl Lapel Tux Jacket and Mohair/Wool Tux Pants by Hickey Freeman. Nice!

Ed Westwick has been snapped for a steamy photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar. It’s not actually that raunchy when you find out the images were shot by Terry Richardson, with Aleksandra Woroniecka editing. Westwick who plays Chuck Bass in hit show Gossip Girl star wears a combo of preppy and indie which isn’t that groudbraking but I guess the point is to provide a foil for the lovely Helena Christensen. Only a few months ago, we told you of how Mario Testino had let it slip that Chace Crawford was to get the cover of VMAN. Since then, Chace has got his cover (although the Brandish team weren’t overly enthusiastic) and a whole new series of Gossip Girl has begun.
In this video, the Grazia Team give Chace their ‘Grazia Guy Fashion Quiz’ and the results are disastrous! I might work in fashion but I’m sure most Brandish readers could score better. What do you think?

Details magazine caught up with the three guys from Gossip Girl recently in an interview which saw Brit bad boy Ed Westwick proclaim he was Batman… Er, ok!
Co-stars Penn Badgley and Chace Crawford also get a grilling in the forthcoming issue, with Crawford making clear the intentions for his character: “I’m hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!”
In a 3-week diary for The Independent, Mario Testino has revealed all on life as one of fashion’s big players. But catching our attention is the news that Mario was in New York on the 18th of June to shoot Gossip Girl‘s Chase Crawford for VMAN’s next issue.
As a forward and delightfully stylish mag for in-the-know sartorialists, VMAN is always one to watch and Brandish has previously reported on its great use of graphics and imagery in different editorials.
Testino reports that he shot “a young actor called Chase Crawford – he’s, like, the heartthrob of the moment. It’s much more unusual for me to photograph guys. I find women are more exciting because you can play with the fashion. With men, there are more restrictions.”
