Just in case you still needed some more t-shirts…

Remember Graniph? If you don’t (and you’re too lazy to click the link) it was a t-shirt site which also hosted a competition to find new designers. The winners were split into one gold prize, ten silver prizes and nineteen bronze ones with Cho Jo Tzu taking the gold with her ‘Peace Love Rabbit Foot’ design.

Graniph T-shirt – Wear it before it goes out of date

By admin on March 26th, 2008

graniphtee.jpgThe Graniph t-shirt competition – which we mentioned a while back – is a great resource for t-shirts that you wouldn’t find anywhere else, like this Gina Gaber tee.
Whilst this shirt won’t be worn by anyone else, it still has a very short shelf life. Designing a shirt after a specific club night sounds like a great idea on paper, but wear this on the 10th of April and you’ll look like someone who just found out about trucker hats.

Graniph T-shirts

Given the collaborations are all the rage
amongst contrasting brands (i.e Comme Des Garcons vs Fred Perry), it’s still
rare to see untested designers being given a chance in t-shirt design. Graniph look to change that, giving anyone
who’s ever wanted to design a t-shirt the chance to do so.

The upside of this is that the resulting
t-shirts are bold and different, such as this Red Check
2 tee
. The downside is that the shirts have names like ‘Red Check 2′. It’s
a small price I’m willing to pay for originality.
