Nothing says summer like seersucker, which is why we love this two-tone necktie from the American company General Knot & Co. The tie features the classic seersucker stripe on the outside and an indigo-colored vintage 1950′s folk art print on the inside which depicts birds, dogs, stags, flora and fauna. There is something that just screams Hampton’s. Only 20 of these handmade ties have been produced in a limited-edition one-time-run. It is available for $118 USD (approx £72) through General Knot & Co.

Think bright pastels or acid colours instead, and team with seersucker pants and a vintage, punky T-shirt for maximum impact. This look is all about subtly subverting the ‘weekend in the Hamptons’ look that’s so prevalent. Preppy is lovely, but is becoming a bit samey and subversion is always good. As preppies might actually wear pastels too, this is more about attitude.
Don’t be fazed by the pale colours, these shoes will actually look better scuffed up with half the dancefloor dirt in Dalston on top (definitely un-Hamptons).

Jude Law makes another appearance in his second series of adverts for Dunhill, which sees him in a variety of Hamptons-esque locations including beach, car, library and decking in a multitude of smart outfits.I can see where Dunhill are trying to go with Jude but it seems like he’s not quite right for the brand, and his posing skills are slightly questionable.
